How much are tickets to Glitter of Hope?
Tickets are only $25 each or 5 for $100.
How can I purchase a Glitter of Hope lottery ticket?
Tickets can be purchased in one of two easy ways. Remember you must be 18 years old and purchase the ticket within Ontario (with a mailing address in Ontario).
How old do I need to be to buy a ticket?
You must be 18 years of age or older. Tickets cannot be purchased in the name of a minor.
Can I purchase a ticket if I live outside Ontario?
The purchaser must be in the province of Ontario at the time of purchase. All tickets must be mailed to an Ontario mailing address.
Who is not ELIGIBLE to purchase a ticket?
Those NOT eligible to purchase a ticket include the following individuals and all of their immediate family members residing in the same household Sunnybrook Foundation Board of Directors and employees; Miratel Solutions Inc. employees, and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to the lottery program.
Are lottery tickets tax deductible?
Lottery Tickets are NON-TAX DEDUCTIBLE in accordance with Canada Customs and Revenue Agency policies; charitable lotteries are prohibited from issuing tax receipts for lottery tickets. You CAN make a donation in addition to your ticket request and receive a tax receipt for the donation portion of your order. Make a donation today.
Are lottery winnings taxable?
No, lottery winnings are considered a windfall and not taxable in Canada.
I have lost my ticket. Am I still eligible for the draws?
Yes. The official ticket numbers that are issued for the Glitter of Hope Lottery are automatically entered in the draw via printed tickets at the time of purchase. If your name is drawn, you will receive a notification letter outlining the prize fulfillment process.
I purchased a ticket but have not received it. Am I still eligible for the draws?
If you have not received a ticket within 2 weeks of ordering, please contact our lottery coordinator to ensure that your order has been processed. They can be reached by calling 1-855-534-4673. Please provide your first and last name, your current address and your telephone number. Tickets can not be refunded.
Can I cancel my ticket and get a refund?
All ticket purchasers are non-refundable.
When is the draw?
The draw will take place on May 30, 2012.
How will I know if I have won?
On May 30, 2012 by 11:59 p.m. the complete winner list will be available online at glitterofhope.ca. All winners will be notified in writing as to what they have won and how to claim their prize.
How do I claim my prize?
You will receive a letter from the Glitter of Hope Lottery providing you with the exact details on how to claim your prize. If you won and have not received this letter by Wednesday, June 15, 2012, please contact our lottery coordinators. They can be reached by calling 1-855-534-4673.
How long do I have to claim my prize?
We ask that winners claim their prizes as soon as possible. All prizes must be claimed by one year after the final draw date.
If I win, can I take cash instead of the prize?
All prizes must be accepted as awarded with no cash-out option.
How are the proceeds of the lottery used?
100% of net proceeds support Sunnybrook’s Odette Cancer Centre and its programs.
What is your privacy policy?
All information regarding donors and volunteers of Sunnybrook Foundation is kept in the strictest confidence by the Foundation. It will not be sold or traded, and will not be disclosed to anyone except the Foundation, and its employees, authorized agents, officers and directors. The information will only be used to further enhance the mission of the Foundation in our development efforts.
